This position looks like the mouth of a cow, also known as  Gomukhasana (Cow Face Posture) . Refers to a posture performed while sitting in a cow-like position during yoga. This is a yoga in which this asana is practiced while sitting in a position like the face of a cow.

how many steps are there to do gomukhasana yoga ?

There are only two steps while doing Gomukhasana / Cow Face Pose. That is, while doing both the steps of Gomukhasana, there is a change in the position of the hands and feet and there is no changes of any kind.

what is the method of doing gomukhasana ?

To do Gomukhasana, straighten your legs and sit in Dandasana .

Gomukhasana steps – 1

Now slowly bend your right foot, come out from under the left foot and keep it near the hip, now lift the right foot over the left foot and place it near the other hip, thus palace both the feet on top of each other. If you are thin then you can sit resting your left hip on the heel of your right foot.

You should not get confused in any way while doing this asana. We will lift the leg which is on top upwards with the same hand, just like if our left leg is upwards then we will extend our left hand upwards and our right hand from the side and try to hold both the hands behind the back. Keep breathing normally while doing this asana. The hand that is on top should be very close to the ear. Do this position as per your physical capacity, after this slowly come back to your normal position, now spread the legs straight and move the legs.

The second step of Gomukhasana exactly mirrors the first part, but it reverses the position of the hands and feet. For instance, the leg that was on top goes down, the one that was below comes up, and the position of the hands also changes. . , , In the second part, bend your left foot and place it near your right hip from below the right foot, then fold the right foot from above and place the heel near the left hip.
